Her answer: “A story a day teaches a child about everything from her world to herself. Read kids good stories and they will grow up to be good people. Guaranteed.”
We had a lot of great answers! Some were poetic, and surprisingly well done! So why did this one win? We felt that, even though it’s not a catchy rhyme like many of the other submissions, this one best-captured the power of what a story-a-day can do.
Reading stories with/to your child every day is literally one of the most powerful things you can do for them. Of course, raising good kids into good people is not just a one-action thing. There are so many different things that go into raising good children. But, one of the single-most important, individual things that can be done is taking the time to read to them.
